Sample Itinerary 1: Riding lesson/Trek mix

Day 1 – Arrive at your accommodation & settle in. In the afternoon take a walk/shuttle to the riding centre where you will be introduced to your horse. You will then take your first riding lesson/assessment lesson.

 Day 2 – Walk to the riding centre in the morning for a 4 hour half day trek in the mountains. Return to your accommodation for a long lunch. Later in the day return to the riding centre for a 1 hour riding lesson in the arena.

Day 3 – Your guide will take you on a full day trek in the mountains with a stop en route for a picnic lunch (6 hours). We have a selection of beautiful routes suitable for all abilities, from challenging fast rides along high mountain trails to relaxed easy trails along the river.

Day 4 – Today you will go on a beautiful 4 hour half day trek to a secluded mountain reservoir. Return to your accommodation for a long lunch. Later in the day you will take a riding lesson in the arena .

Day 5 – Enjoy a full day trek in the mountains with a stop en route for a picnic lunch (6 hours). We have a selection of beautiful routes suitable for all abilities.

Day 6 – You will have a riding lesson in the arena in the morning. Afterwards return to your accommodation. Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the local town of Orgiva. Maybe go hiking in the mountains or take a day trip to Granada or the beach on the bus.

Day 7 – Morning riding lesson in the arena. Afterwards return to your accommodation to enjoy the rest of the morning. In the afternoon you will return to the riding centre for a tapas trail (3.5 hours) where we will ride to a traditional Spanish restaurant for drinks & tapas.

Day 8 – In the morning you will take your last riding lesson in the arena. Leave your accommodation to travel back to the airport (transfers available).

Sample Itinerary 2: Novice Trekker

Day 1- Arrive at your accommodation. In the afternoon we will introduce you to your horse and you will take a novice trek. You will spend half an hour in the arena going over the basics before heading out on a gentle 1 hour trek where you can put into practice everything you have learnt in the arena.

Day 2 – You will go on a 4 hour half day trek out in the mountains. We will take a river ride passing through a traditional agricultural village.Return to your accommodation for lunch and a well deserved siesta.

 Day 3 – In the morning take a pleasant Morning stroll to the riding centre where your trek guide will be waiting for you to take you on a 4 hour half day trek along the route of the miners (high trail)  

Day 4 – Today you will take a half day trek in to the mountains to a secluded reservoir

Day 5 – Enjoy a more challenging full day trek in the mountains with a picnic lunch (6 hours). We have a selection of stunning trail routes.

Day 6 – We will take you out on a 3.5 hour tapas trail where we will ride from the centre following a trail along the river before stopping at a for drinks & tapas at a local restaurant.

Day 7 – Enjoy a full day of trekking in the mountains with a picnic lunch (6 hours).

Day 8 – Take a final 1 hour trek in the morning before you leave your accommodation to travel back to the airport (transfers available on request).

Sample Itinerary 3: Mountain Explorer

Day 1 – Arrive at your accommodation. Take time to relax after your journey or explore the town of Orgiva.

Day 2 – After breakfast (optional) take a walk/shuttle to the riding centre for a full day trek (6 hours) with a stop for a picnic lunch. We have a selection of beautiful routes suitable for all abilities, from challenging fast rides along high mountain trails to more relaxed easy trails along the river & valley. Each day will be a different route.

 Day 3 – You will go on another full day trek (6 hours) with a stop for a picnic lunch.

Day 4 –Enjoy a full day trek (6 hours) with a stop for a picnic lunch. We have a selection of beautiful routes suitable for all abilities.

Day 5 – Enjoy a full day trekking in the mountains with a stop for a picnic lunch (6 hours)

Day 6 – Free day. Spend the day as you choose. You could take a day trip to the beach or visit the Alhambra palace in the historic city of Granada on the bus.

Day 7 – Arrive at the riding centre for a full day trek (6 hours) with a stop for a picnic lunch.

Day 8 – Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before you travel home (transfers available).

Sample itinerary 4 – All Round Rider

Day 1 – Arrive at your accommodation. In the afternoon take a walk/shuttle to the riding centre. We will introduce you to your horse. You will then take a riding assessment lesson/riding lesson. Afterwards we will make a plan and talk more about your riding goals and how we can help get you closer to achieving them during your stay.

 Day 2 – Morning riding lesson. In the afternoon return to the riding centre for a 1 hour trek where we will introduce you to the local area.

Day 3 – Enjoy a full day trek in the mountains with a picnic lunch (6 hours). We have different day trek routes suitable for all riding levels.

 Day 4 – In the morning take your riding lesson (1 hour). Afterwards return to your accommodation to enjoy the rest of the morning. In the afternoon return to the riding centre for a 4.5 hour tapas trail where we will ride out in the mountains to a mountain view point with stunning views stopping off en route for refreshing drinks & tapas in a traditional Alpujarran bar/restaurant.

Day 5- In the morning arrive to the riding centre for a 1 hour riding lesson. You will return in the afternoon for a 4 hour half day trek to a secluded lake.

Day 6 – Walk to the riding centre in the morning for a half day trek along the moners route (high trail) Afterwards return to your accommodation for lunch or try some local dishes in the town. Return again in the afternoon for a riding lesson in the arena.

 Day 7 – In the morning take a walk to the riding centre for a 3 hour trek. Return to the centre in the afternoon for your 1 hour riding lesson in the arena.

Day 8 – You will take your final riding lesson in the morning. Your riding instructor will evaluate your progress and suggest a plan to continue your progression on your return home.
